Intercontinental Hua Hin Kiteboarding World Cup adds Asian Qualifier and SUP event.

Hua Hin, Thailand is not only known for its legendary beaches, friendly people and delicious spicy food. This year will mark the first ever professional kiteboarding event in the history of Asia, making this the perfect place to host Asia's first ever Pro Kiteboarding event. Asia will be a new era for the sport, as its region is expected to become part of the annual pro tour event lineup.

This mega event will start up with a special PKRA Asian qualifier event held from March 12th-14th. Registration for this event will take place on March 11th with an entry fee of $50 US.

This event will have a freestyle discipline as the qualifier discipline as well as a long distance race and high jump competition. The PKRA international crew will be running this event, which will ensure the highest quality of event logistics and judging.

There will be cash and kite equipment prizes for all winners, so make sure you enter for some good fun and great prizes. The top 2 male and top 2 female finishers will be given the chance to test themselves against the world’s best as they will automatically be entered into the main event of the PKRA International freestyle competition as wildcards.

Holding a world-class event in Asia will not only promote the sport of kiteboarding, but it will offer a chance for new talent to take center stage and to encourage Asian riders to compete. Therefore, for all Asian citizens that will compete in the PKRA Asian qualifier competition, the $50 entry fee will cover BOTH the PKRA Asia event as well as the entry fee for the PKRA International event starting on March 15th.

The top kiteboarders from around the world will then take the spotlight as they compete in the Intercontinental Hua Hin Kiteboarding World Cup, a grand slam PKRA event, sanctioned by IKA/ISAF which will feature Freestyle, Course Racing, and Board Off, disciplines from March 15th-20th.
